One Week at Casa Amahoro
Two ways to spend a week at Casa Amahoro: out exploring, or barely leaving the olive grove. Either way, every day ends the same — back at the house, a swim as the light goes gold over the olive trees.
Seeing Puglia
For first-timers happy to explore by car.
Day one. You arrive to a can of our own olive oil, a swim at dusk and supper in nearby Casalini.
Day two. A slow morning by the pool, then Ostuni's white old town for aperitivo as the evening cools, then dinner.
Day three. Cisternino's market morning, breakfast at History Bar, cheese to carry home. Supper at a fornello, where you choose your meat at the counter and they grill it.
Day four. The coast: Egnazia's ruins, the sea, a seafood lunch, lounge at the lido, and an empty pool waiting when you get back.
Day five. Martina Franca and Locorotondo for their centro storico, then home for pizza night in our oven.
Day six. Matera, the cave city, for a full day. You return after dark to a quiet house.
Day seven. Nothing at all. Pool, groves, a tasting at Cantine Amalberga next door, and a last dinner in Ceglie Messapica.
Staying Put
For returning guests, families with small children, and anyone who's come to slow down. Almost everything is close, and nothing needs an alarm clock.
Day one. Arrive, supper in Casalini, an early night.
Day two. The whole day at the house: walk the groves, swim, fire up the grill.
Day three. Cisternino's market morning and breakfast at History Bar, an afternoon at the pool, dinner at Braceria Soleti in Casalini.
Day four. E-bikes from Nature Bikes, brought to the door, and an easy ride along the old aqueduct path through the olive groves.
Day five. Torre Guaceto or Torre Pozzella: wild coast, free, no fuss. Home for pizza night.
Day six. A pasta or pizza class at the house.
Day seven. One evening in town, Ostuni or Cisternino.
