Close to home
Ostuni and Cisternino, our two towns, couldn't be easier to fold into a day — market mornings, aperitivo evenings, a wander through whitewashed streets that still change entirely depending on the hour and the light.
Worth the drive
Locorotondo and Martina Franca both reward an afternoon — Locorotondo for its perfectly circular old town, Martina Franca for its baroque centro storico and (third Sunday of the month) one of the region's best antiques markets. Ceglie Messapica is worth the trip for food alone.
Matera
Matera is about two hours west, a town built into ancient cave dwellings and one of the most striking places in southern Italy. We’d recommend this a full day trip.
Coastal Towns
Polignano a Mare, perched dramatically over the Adriatic, and Monopoli, quieter and just as handsome, are both easy coastal day trips.
